RAD will be walking in the parade without a float this year. We'll proudly carry our RAD banner and dress in whatever represents the holidays to each of us!
This is a great time to reach out into the community and let them know we are here. There's never been a more urgent need for solidarity and support in the Democratic party.

It's time for our annual donations for Network of Community Ministries. While it's fun to donate toys and holiday foods, there is always a need for the basics and sometimes those things fall by the wayside during this time of the year. Toiletries, like shampoo, tampons, and deodorants, are important year round. Please bring a bag or box!
The G&G food truck will be there, so come hungry! They have a great menu and non-alcoholic drinks.
Look forward to seeing you! Click here to Register!

RAD Happy Hour
This month is Women's History Month and we'll be focusing our meeting on Reproductive Rights! We have three great speakers joining us to educate and inspire us to continue the fight for this important issue. Rev. Daniel Kanter of First Unitarian Church of Dallas will share with us his church's history with Roe v Wade and the work they're doing now to help women. Dr. Tiffanny Jones, ob-gyn and reproductive specialist, will talk with us about the medical side of this issue. And Elaine Campbell will round out the evening with her research on the economical effects of these restrictive laws.
This will be our only meeting this month, so come out and join us!
Coffee & Community
We are BACK at Staycation Coffee! This event marks a full year of our second monthly meeting - our Community & Coffee event! Last year's inaugural event there was a beautiful celebration. Let's join together again and learn from Sherasa Thomas, 2nd VP of the Collin County NAACP, who will be speaking to us about Civil Rights and what we can do to further this cause. It's also a great launch into the Primary Election, motivating us to get out the vote! Join Us!
We start the meeting at 3:30 and have a half hour of socializing before the program begins. Staycation's baristas will be there to create fab drinks and they'll also have pastries and adult beverages! We'll hope for sweet weather and gather in the back yard, but if it's not, we'll just cozy up inside!
Happy Hour
This month, in honor of Black History Month, we will be focusing on Civil Rights. We are excited to welcome Adjunct Professor of Human Rights at SMU and Pastor of First Community United Church of Dallas, Rev. Ray Jordan. We look forward to an inspiring and motivating talk with him about how to take the fight for Civil Rights on in our own lives. We will welcome any candidates to speak to us about their vision for and work in Civil Rights as well! Join us for this first Happy Hour of 2024 and enjoy a great Four Bullets beer!
We gather at 6:30 and socialize for a half hour before the program starts. TJ's Dawg House food truck will be serving up great food and soft drinks! Maybe we'll be lucky and it will be great weather like this week, otherwise, we'll snuggle up inside!
2024 Membership Meeting
Join us for our Annual Membership Meeting! We'll discuss our Primary Endorsements and our plans for 2024, as well as listen to what YOU want from this membership and club this important election year.

About this event
RAD is hosting a debate for this crowded Congressional Primary to give us the opportunity to hear the candidates with the most quantifiable traction with voters side by side. To qualify, the candidate must have a minimum of 100 unique donors from the DFW area, with total donations at a minimum of $50,000 by the end of 2023. Rep Julie Johnson, Dr Brian Williams, Callie Butcher, and Justin Moore have qualified and we look forward to these fantastic candidates to be on stage. The debate will be moderated by Gromer Jeffers of the Dallas Morning News. The hall will accommodate 250 attendees and it will be live streamed to YouTube as well!
RAD Book Club
About this event
We are starting out 2024 with a BANG! We will be discussing The Bodies Keep Coming: Dispatches from a Black Trauma Surgeon on Racism, Violence and How We Heal by Dr. Brian Williams. We are honored to be joined by the author, in person, to discuss his experiences and answer questions about the book. Please plan to join us - either in person or virtually on Zoom. The book is a "tour de force that discusses the structural root of the violence that plagues us all" (Amazon). It's also a great opportunity to hear from this candidate for Congressional District 32!

Community Canvass: HD 112 & HD 102 at HEXA
Join House Districts 112 and 102 Precinct Organizers as we talk to our neighbors about the importance of voting Democrat up and down their ballots in the upcoming Midterm Election, which is now less than 60 days away!
Join special guest Tartisha Hill this coming Saturday, September 3rd at 9 AM. She is the Democratic candidate for Texas' 5th US Congressional District, running against the incumbent Lance Gooden - R. The 5th US Congressional District was significantly redrawn in 2021, and many voters who were in CD 32 - Colin Allred's district - are now in CD 5.
CD 5 covers parts of several cities within Dallas County, including Garland, Rowlett, Sachse, Wylie, Mesquite, Sunnyvale, and Dallas. In addition, it covers all of Kaufman, Van Zandt, Henderson and Wood Counties, and part of Upshur County. Ms Hill needs our support to garner name recognition in Dallas County. Dallas County voters' support is key to her winning her race.
No prior experience is necessary to volunteer, and food and water will be provided for you! Make sure to wear comfy shoes; bring a fully charged smartphone... and a friend!
Block walk times (a volunteer will be on-site at HEXA until an hour after kick-off):
