Now that You've Voted... Don’t Worry, WORK!
SO... IT'S FINALLY TIME TO VOTE ~
You've likely already voted or at least have a plan to do so. Now what? It's a small relief to finally have been able to cast a vote. But if you're anything like me, even that was somewhat fraught. Seeing his name on the ballot and looking around at the folks who were voting, knowing that some of them are actually voting for what they stand for... my gosh, it was sobering. And now that we've done that, now that we've done the ultimate that we alone can do - VOTED - there's a helplessness that has set in, a fear that can be quite overwhelming. What do we do now?
THERE IS STILL WORK TO DO.
Everyday we are still getting requests from candidates for support. Do you know why? These last few days, they are pulling out all the stops, trying to convince someone that it's worth getting out to vote. They are running digital ads, sending out text messages (hopefully you quit getting them once you vote!), and knocking on doors. They have staff to pay and light bills to pay. They are using every dime they have to WIN. Please donate if you can! Mihaela, Averie, Sam & George NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Besides money, and perhaps more importantly, they need volunteers to blitz their districts. They need block walkers to knock on doors and tell voters that they can vote for quality public education, women's right to bodily autonomy, and defense of the basic right to vote! It's not a hard conversation! We are on the right side of history and we need to be bold! Whether it's a phone call or a door knock, poll greeting, or even just going through your contacts and reminding your own circle of friends how important this election is, we still have work to do.

Before I close - I want to thank the scores of volunteers that came out this past weekend to help us deliver 10,000 slate cards to doors across Richardson. It was so thrilling to see everyone working together to get this important work done. Thank you for all the ways you have supported us and encouraged us. When this is over, we can truly say that RAD showed up.
