NO TIME FOR HAND WRINGING...
Election Day is only 3 weeks from today...
Dear Fellow Democrat,
Early voting starts in 6 days. Last weekend, we had an awesome Day of Action! Forty or more volunteers showed UP! And this is the kind of feedback we got:
"It was fun working together with a bunch of people with common beliefs and hope for the future..."
"Volunteer session was very organized, easy to jump in and work."
"Great group! Very important work!"
"...it's more productive to do something to help good people get elected than to sit at home, simply hoping for victories."
These are just a few of the feedback notes we got from our wonderful volunteers. Thank you to all who helped out with the herculean effort to count, highlight and organize 10,000 slate cards!!
This weekend, you can help. And Fellow Democrat, we need all the help we can get. We now have to get those 10,000 slate card on 10,000 doors across the city of Richardson. This is a monumental task and it will only be done with everyone helping. So if you can, JOIN US Saturday & Sunday for a Weekend of Action!
We'll be meeting at 10:00 Saturday morning to launch a city-wide lit dropping effort. The slate cards have all the candidates on the Dallas County ballot listed. Data shows that when folks have a list to take with them to the polls, they will vote all the way down the ticket. And we HAVE to... we have to elect our local candidates, Averie, Sam, & George, and re-elect our excellent judges, as well as the amazing Representative Mihaela Plesa. We need every vote.
The card is a door hanger. No Knocking! Just put it on the door and go to the next Democrat or Democratic-leaning door on the list! The weather is going to be perfect and you'll have all the tools to enjoy doing your part to save democracy. Sign up here for details! We'll go out on Sunday morning again to get it finished. We want to get these out before early voting starts on Monday the 21st!
