No Distractions ~ just ACTIONS!!

We're not going to talk about the distractions, or the distractions from the distractions. We're going to talk about what we can do to be a part of the solutions.
Tonight. Representative James Talarico will be in Plano! James is currently touring the state, (and we believe) trying to determine whether he will run for Senate or the Governor or anything beyond State Representative. He's a powerful voice, recently going on the Joe Rogan show and actually getting an endorsement from him! He's been on stage with Beto and Congressman Joaquin Castro (also rumored to be considering one of those offices!) and they are setting the state on fire! The first special session has begun, and what should be an emergency session to solve for the horrific floods in Central Texas is being usurped by the unprecedented mid-decade redistricting fiasco ordered by trump to gain five more congressional seats in 2026. We are being asked to contact both our state representatives and our Congressional representatives to tell them that We the People want to choose our own representatives, not have them dividing us up into ludicrous NON-representative districts. You can use this link to contact the members of the Redistricting Committee. This Saturday, Dallas County Democrats will be holding a Rally to Stop the Steal in Dallas, you can find out the details here. And next Monday, the 28th, we are being asked to Pack The House in Arlington to let them know in person (and by written statement) where we stand on this. August 2nd is the next nationwide protest and you can register for the event being held in Plano here. There will likely be other events in Dallas, but at this point, I don't have information on any. This protest is to protest the Big Bogus Bill and raise awareness in the public of the terrible effect it will have on regular people in America.
RAD is co-hosting the Summer of Justice Big Blue BBQ in Richardson on August 16th from 2-4. Please join us to enjoy free BBQ and beer at Oak Highlands Brewery and meet lots of judiciary candidates, but be sure to register yourself and your guests so they have enough food!

In August we'll be hearing from Mark Wingfield, pastor and author, who will speak to us about the urgency to uphold separation of church and state, as we send our kids back to school to be greeted by THE TEN COMMANDMENTS on the walls of their classrooms.
